Rising talent and celeb designers still held court during the second night of Birmingham Fashion Week, but aspiring models took center stage during the model competition, which pit the ladies against each other for a chance to be the face of BFW. We took a peak at the models backstage, and checked in with headlining designer, Franklin, TN native, Jeff Garner of Prophetik as he put the final touches on his romantic and eco-friendly collection. On the runway one of the night’s featured designers, Smith Sinrod of By Smith proved to be a hit with her collection of colorful prints and contemporary silhouettes.

The middle- and high school-aged Rising Stars continued to impress the crowd with their creative designs made of elements like bubble gum sticks, moss, twigs, and soda cans.
