Theresa Harper Bruno’s unique pearl pieces have a national following that includes a certain well-dressed First Lady. And for our Southern Living readers, she’s offering one of her iconic bracelets (which normally retails for $495) for just $350!

To grab this steal, you just have to call her boutique at 205/868-1391 and say Southern Living sent you. The offer is for the white pearl bracelet at the bottom-left of the photo below.

Growing up in Orlando, Theresa Bruno often noticed how pearls added just the right amount of luster to her mother’s Sunday dress. At the same time, she knew her personal sense of style was a little funkier. So, after a career as a concert pianist and creative film producer, she created her own line for women with a similar taste. Since launching in 2010, the pearls have been featured in the New York Times Style Magazine and worn by Michelle Obama. Though Theresa’s often in New York and L.A. promoting her line, she calls Birmingham home.

The Process: “We string each pearl and bead by hand, using macrame and custom knotting techniques. This increases the durability of each piece.”

The Versatility: “The pieces can be worn with an evening gown or a blouse and jeans. I wear the first piece I designed (a 42-inch necklace) every day.”

The Look: “I call it bohemian luxe,” Theresa says. “We mix colorful, uniquely shaped baroque pearls with pavé diamonds, coral, bone, and ancient prayer beads to create an organic feel.”

The Inspiration: “Three years ago I found an unusually shaped pearl that really got me going. Our whole collection is inspired by finding beauty in the unexpected.”
