    My favorite is a New England Boiled Dinner which has been passed down for 4 generations. Just making it brings back so many wonderful memories of my grandmother and mom.

    I love the 1 pot dinners that I can make for my husband! I am a southerner transplanted to the wine country, so I love the recipes that I learned growing up in Alabama. Because it gets cold in the evening (even in the summer!), I love to make soups. One soup (very easy)recipe that I learned while living in Birmingham, I think mimics the asian cuisine found in Northern CA, while utilizing all of the fresh produce/organic poultry found in the wine country.
    Chicken Egg Drop Soup
    1 egg
    2 C fresh spinach
    1 C chicken (cooked/cubed)
    2 T corn starch
    46 oz. Chicken Broth
    2 t soy sauce (light)
    1 t Hoison Sauce
    1 small red bell pepper
    1/2 Onion
    1 1/2 C sliced mushrooms
    1 t asian sesame oil
    1 t garlic
    Break, whisk and set aside; Divide spinach among bowls; Cut chicken and set aside; Mix corn starch and 4 T cold tap water and set aside; Pour chicken broth, soy, and Hoison into soup pot–Cover and bring to a boil. Prep onion/pepper and set aside. Add to broth: mushrooms and reduce heat to medium/moderate boil about 2 minutes. Stir in pepper, chicken, onions, sesame oil, garlic then add corn starch…Then add egg slowly. Pour soup over spinach in bowls and serve!! Enjoy:)

    I make a corned beef dinner in one pot, which is good. Also homemade turkey soup, with leftover cooked turkey, celery, carrots, egg noodles and chicken broth.

    Chicken and rice soup — or as my workmate used to call it when I’d bring it to work, goulash! It’s thick and hearty, and nothing takes the chill offbetter than homemade chicken and rice soup.

    I love to make after thanksgiving a casserole.. you put turkey with cream of chicken soup on bottom, then peas or corn or both, stuffing, potatoes.. you can add whatever you have left over.. put cheese on top! so good!
