Valentine’s Day Dinner for Two

Skip the prix fixe menus and the subpar food of restaurants on Valentine’s Day! Instead, express your love with a a dinner for two in the comfort of your own home. Making a special Valentine’s Day meal is as easy as lighting candles with this delicious menu.
Start with dessert!
Homemade chocolates, like these Hazelnut Truffles, look special and taste the best. You can even make them 3 days ahead! The trick is to store them in an air tight container and away from hungry mouths (hide them).

Do your prep work the day before.
Shop for everything you’ll be cooking – my perfect menu consists of Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp for starters, and Elegant Beef Blue as a main course. Pick out a wine that pairs well, chill it, and make a playlist of your favorite love songs, like this one, compiled by the SL Test Kitchen.
So all that’s left is to pour two glasses, light the candles, and enjoy!
