My family all the time say that I am wasting my time here at web,
however I know I am getting knowledge every day by reading such nice posts.

Paula Dean, I would actually make my grandmothers poppy seed bread instead of cake but it has a sweet glaze on top so I think it is definitely dessert worthy

I’d love to make my grandmother’s strawberry cake and give it to Jennifer Lawrence. She’s so cute and adorable and seems like she’d be so much fun to hang out with. Plus, she might need to add on a pound or two after making another Hunger Games movie!

I’d make my banana chocolate chip cake for Paula Dean and show her that delicious desserts do not need to contain a pound of butter!

I would make a wonderfully rich chocolate cake, complete with a chocolate mousse filling and chocolate frosting for Hunter Hayes. My roommates and I love Hunter Hayes and his music and adding a little chocolate can’t hurt!

I would make a pea-pickin’ cake for James Earl Jones. I would just love to sit and talk with him. It doesn’t matter what we talk about. I just love to hear him talk!

I would whip up one of my fresh peach cakes and share it with Ms. Reba. She is so down to earth and I know she would love this cake. Also, what fun to visit with her and get to know her better.

I would make my pineapple surprise cake for Reba! She is one fabulous person. And then show her how we do things here in Florida.

I would bake my pineappe cake with cream cheese frosting for Paula Dean so she could tell me where I am going wrong with the cake part. LOL

For the Cuisinart hand Mixer from Sur la Table which is a really nice price, would make Paula Dean a rich red velvet cake with a luscious butter cream frosting, know would not be as good as hers but would be fun to do!!!

How appropriate that you’d give away a plum colored mixer–as it is so close to the SuperBowl Champion Baltimore Ravens’ Purple! The Southern celebrity I would bake a cake for is Baltimore Ravens’ RAY LEWIS, and I would make Any kind of cake he’d like, just to see his little Victory dance in person if he could do it just One More Time.

Brandon Heath. My daughter and I both liked him long before he won his first Dove award. And since he sings gospel music, I would make … an angel food cake. This mixer would be great for that.

Sandra Bullock…I would make her my peanut butter passion cake. She seems so genuinely nice and I would love to just sit and chat with her. The cake is delicious, the company divine…what more could you ask for?

I would bake my grandmother’s coconut cake for Paula Deen, because I think she would understand how much this handed down recipe means to me.

I would make a 7up cake for Karla Hall. It has a pineapple topping you cook on stove top and spread between 3 layer’s. This mixer will do the trick.

I would make a red velvet cake for Paula Dean.

I would make a cake for Reese Witherspoon. I hope she likes Hummin’ Bird cake, but I have a killer apple praline that I could whip up too.

I would make a “FRUITCAKE” with JIMMY BUFFETT! ;)

I would make a carrot cake with cream cheese icing for my good friend in Key West. She isn’t a celebrity to everyone but she is to people that hang out around Conch Harbor on Caroline Street :)

I would bake one my grandmother’s Apple Stack Cakes. They are a traditional Appalachian wedding cake. I would bake my cake for Rachel Bilson. I know she isn’t Southern, but she is playing a Northern girl that moved South in Hart of Dixie. I would love to talk about cultural stereotypes and what she has really learned about the South.

I’d bake either a Hummingbird cake (spice cake with pecans, pineapple, and banana) or a caramel cake for Carol Burnett. She is so talented and funny!

  26. Abbey

I would make actress Bellamy Young (from Asheville, NC) a Hummingbird Cake for her birthday on February 19. As one of my favorite actresses, I would want to offer her appreciation and southern hospitality through my choice of the Hummingbird Cake!

I am in need of a new hand mixer; just have not yet decided which one; so, it would be great to win.

Today is Feb 19th, but if it were Jan 19th the most appropriate cake to bake for a southern celebrity would be a birthday cake for Paula Dean and Dolly Parton to share! Ideally, Paula could help me bake a “unlikely” angel food cake for Dolly and Dolly could help me sing “Happy Birthday” to Paula as she blows out her candles! (only 29 candles, of course!)

I’d love to bake a lemon-infused and glazed sour cream pound cake for Holly Hunter. She’s had such a storied career, she should take a break, eat a bite of cake, and enjoy!

  30. Terri M.

I’d bake my Luscious cake (coconut & pineapple) for Dolly Parton just for the opportunity to sit a spell and talk about everything southern as far back as we can remember.

  31. Bertrice L Wyatt

I would bake a cake for John Besh. I would bake my family favorite Rum Cake, glazed with Chocolate Ganache, and whip up some fresh whipped cream scented with vanilla rum.
