I love the look of the Modern Family kitchen. The openness, the fantastic colors- the serene light blue and the pop of turquoise on the island, and the simple decor -all of it really looks like a space that my family would enjoy living in. With so many family gatherings migrating to the kitchen while the meal is cooking, I always dream of a kitchen that includes an island with seating space!

I think that the “Warm Kitchen” is just lovely. Wood finishes have always felt cozy to me, no matter what room I am in. The kitchen is no exception. The pendant lights, backsplash and large wood-topped island are my favorite features. Excellent design!

I like the Salvage Kitchen. I like the fact that they reused material and came up with a beautiful kitchen, I love the wood and the brick accent. Very warm and inviting!

This kitchen truly is farm fresh, and the fact that historic tax credits were received shows that a lot of thought and research went into making this a tribute to the house and the area. And it’s just so friendly looking! History can certainly be welcoming!

I really liked the Classic Kid-Friendly Kitchen. It’s light, airy and modern. As I prepare to move into a new but older home, this sink and faucet would certainly help to update at least part of the kitchen. This kitchen is a place where I could definitely enjoy spending time.

http://www.southernliving.com/home-garden/decorating/editor-kitchen-makeover-00417000074182/ I’m not very techy, and am not sure if this worked with the link…It’s for the All White Kitchen. It’s absolutely beautiful, so bright with all the windows and the white cabinets. The marble countertop on the island is superb! Even the sleek silver hardware is classic. Just a lovely kitchen, that I could settle right into. 🙂

The warmth of this kitchen, http://www.southernliving.com/home-garden/decorating/kitchen-inspiration-00417000069836/page11.html, with its neutral colors is perfect with my stone see-through fireplace on one wall of my kitchen! It clearly invites one to come into the kitchen and stay!

The Personalized Kitchen (slide 75 of 82 from 80 Tasty Kitchens) is a DREAM. The salvaged woods, the antique finishes and fixtures, and the vintage bric-a-brac – combined with high ceilings and lots of natural light – make a textured, unpretentious space that says “COOK HERE”.

I’m in love with the Inviting Space kitchen http://www.southernliving.com/home-garden/decorating/kitchen-inspiration-00417000069836/page11.html. I love the warm look of the cabinets and the brickwork. It just looks like a space you would enjoy spending a lot of time in.

The small space kitchen is what would work in my condo. My pullman kitchen is even smaller. If I knock out the end wall, I would be in my neighbors kitchen. Nontheless, it has some great ideas. My old composite sink is long past its life span. A new a new sink and faucet would do a lot to bring it up to date.

I love the clean lines of this kitchen. I am getting ready to redo my kitchen. It is small and gets very little natural light, so I plan to keep it light with white cabinets and clean lines like this one:

The “Contemporary Kitchen” is such an elegant space. The modern cabinetry and the contrasting brown veneer evokes a warm, earthy quality. The matching wood veneer on dining table that tucks under the center island is masterful — and is probably one of my favorite features. All this dark sensuous wood provides a bold background to the strikingly lighter stained wood beams on the ceiling that carries down to repeat on the floor. The pop of green below the massive hood is a very fresh addition. Overall, it looks like an efficient nook that invites others in and a chance for the cook to be a part of what is happening in the rest of the house. The design offers a simplicity that would calm you in a house otherwise teeming with texture and excitement. http://www.southernliving.com/home-garden/decorating/kitchen-inspiration-00417000069836/page37.html

My selection speaks Farmhouse Chic. It’s a white, bright and extremely airy space that is almost stark in it’s simplicity. It is absolutely fabulous how that the plate racks were mounted right over the stunning windows (without the backing), but do not obstruct the views or natural light. I could just imagine the pleasure of looking out them as I did my daily dishes. I would alway much rather look outdoors when doing that dreaded chore. I love the vintage industrial looking light fixtures hanging over sink and island. The painted long, narrow free-standing cabinet looks like it was unearthed from a Victorian home at the turn of the century. It would be a perfect place to roll out some biscuits. Plus, I like the open shelving below and extra large storage it provides. It’s creamy khaki color is a nice contrast to the rest of the white painted cabinetry. The wood countertops bring an ageless quality as does the retro hardware on the cabinets. The small curtain of red floral fabric under the sink is another element that makes it a country kitchen without seeming too precious. The reddish floor coordinates with it too. That massive stainless stove and hood look like they belong in a restaurant or feeding lots of hungry farmhands. It is very handsome against the white wood wall. I like the mix of vintage, industrial, and modern elements. Of course, it has a similar faucet to that in the giveaway. I love the traditional white farmhouse sink, but I also think this kitchen would even be more spectacular with a stainless steel style one! Kudos to the designer for creating such a homey historic feeling space: http://www.southernliving.com/home-garden/decorating/kitchen-ideas-00400000053242/page17.html

The vintage kitchen would be the one I chose for my home. http://www.southernliving.com/home-garden/decorating/kitchen-inspiration-00417000069836/page26.html
The mix of the old style cabinets with the mosern pop of stainless style is a classic design that would last for years. And I would never tire of that wonder color!

I’m inspired by the Updated Traditional Kitchen because of the use of white cabinets and the very smart hood idea – what a great way to save money. The verdigris lanterns over the counter are beautiful and I never would have thought to use such oversized lanterns on an island – but they really work. http://www.southernliving.com/home-garden/decorating/the-updated-traditional-kitchen-00417000081172/

I think the design and execution of Southern Living’s. antique family-friendly kitchen is PERFECT FOR MY FAMILY As shown in. http://www.southernliving.com/home-garden/decorating/antique-dream-kitchen-00417000071616/

From the antique hanging light glowing down on the spacious island that is perfect for family baking and food prep chores, or just wonderful for entertaining, there’s a 6-burner range, and Sub-Zero fridge, but the BEST feature is the beautiful cabinetry with large drawers and incredible cupboard space!

I love the farm fresh kitchen because even though it has the feeling of a farm it still has a modern feel. Also the kitchen is the room that gets cleaned the most and is also the room most dreaded to clean. With the mobility and just the clean inspiration that the room gives, makes it a lot easier to clean. Also it is kid friendly with the family style bench, so kids can do their homework their yet still be actively involved with their home life. Fresh air with the awning window lets a lot of fresh air in, which no one can ever get enough of.

I love the “Nature-Inspired White Kitchen! Usually, a fan of color in the kitchen, I find this kitchen very sophisticated and inviting. The large island is dreamy and I am so fond of the black and white color combination. The creamy tile work above the stove is so pretty and simple and the chandeliers give the kitchen a chic ambience. I also really love the floor to ceiling cabinets with the black knobs and hinges. They lend a lot of character and charm to the space! It is most definitely a kitchen I would want to spend time in.

I love the modern family kitchen. The pops of color on the island and cabinets brings a open, at home feeling to the space. The nod to mid centruy with the light fixtures is great also. My cabinets are a similar color and I love having color in the kitchen. The windows are another great feature! All that light is amazing. http://www.southernliving.com/home-garden/decorating/modern-family-kitchen-00417000081196/

Simplistic and clean…a perfect combination for me! The White Kitchen Makeover is just right. Leaves many options for accent colors which may be changed easily and quickly. No clutter nor distracting busyness. Just enough space…not too much or too little. Would fit like a glove when cooking/dining for one or two. Well thought out and created. I think they had me in mind. :-))

I love, love, love the International Flavor dream kitchen (http://www.southernliving.com/home-garden/decorating/international-flavor-00417000069644/)!
From the adjoining cozy family room, to the peninsula, to the built-in cappuccino maker, the whole thing just screams “come spend time together here”! I can also imagine myself relishing the quiet, solitary moments while staring out the kitchen window. Talk about finding a way to WANT to do the dishes!
I love it is both open and intimate; practical and indulgent. To me, that is a dream kitchen.

The Salvage Kitchen( http://www.southernliving.com/home-garden/decorating/kitchen-inspiration-00417000069836/page5.html) is my Fave! Relaxed Refinement at it’s best! The use of reclaimed wood is a great eco factor, but more importantly, it adds beaucoup warmth and beauty! Just imagining what the wood was used for originally, conjures up great images of other generations gathering together to celebrate lfie and family. The use of mixed materials, brick walls and wood beamed ceilings makes for a warm, cozy, inviting space. The texture adds interest and contrast. I love that It’s open to the Family Room making for one large gathering space, perfect for entertaining!

The one kitchen that caught my eye was the Modern Family Kitchen by designer Amie Corley. The happy appearance included: walnut floor, desk area for recipe searching, the aqua/navy/blue color scheme, marble island with shelves, and brass lights. Beautiful!
