Next Big Thing: Kacey Musgraves

April 5, 2013 | By | Comments (5)

Kacey Musgraves, a spry young native of Golden, Texas, caught Nashville’s attention last year when she performed one song at the Ryman for an industry event and received a standing ovation. (The only other artist to garner such a response was George Strait.) With her debut album Same Trailer Different Park just out, Kacey’s burning up the charts. She’s already scored a Top 10 hit with her first single “Merry Go ‘Round”. She’s penned tunes for Miranda Lambert and Martina McBride, and has written songs such as “Undermine” for ABC’s hit show Nashville.

We recently met up with Kacey at Blackberry Farm in Walland, Tennessee, for a Biscuits & Jam session where she performed “Merry Go ‘Round.” Check out her exclusive Southern Living performance above. And keep your eye on her. Kacey’s the real deal. Mark our word.

SHE IS AMAZING! Her melodies are catchy, her voce has a beautiful laid-back, hypnotic quality and her lyrics are so relatable and witty!
