The weather is warm and wedding season is well under way, which means most of us are planning what we’ll wear, where we’ll stay, and of course, what we’ll buy for our favorite betrothed duo!

Keeping to the couple’s registry is always a safe idea, but if you really want to find a unique and memorable gift, check out one of our new Southern-made favorites: Uncorked Glass Company.

Based out of Atlanta, Georgia, Uncorked Glass Company handcrafts eco-friendly glassware from recycled wine bottles. Now glass cutting is nothing new, but we like Uncorked for their attention to detail and design. The colors are striking and the lip is rounded to a smooth, even finish. But our favorite feature? They’re dishwasher-safe!

Now his idea is expanding even more with a line of decanters out this fall, as well as candles, pendant lights, and chandeliers to come later. And though they produce around 2,000 glasses a week, they still find ways to make their work personal.

Take, for example, the custom tumblers they create from wine bottles used at wedding receptions. Save a few bottles from the big day and have them engraved with the couple’s initials or wedding date in your chosen font and location. What better way to help the happy couple celebrate anniversaries than their own up-cycled wine bottles to cheers with—sure beats the year-old cake hiding in the back of the freezer!
