purple ikat scarf1 Giveaway! Game Day Luxe with Slater ZornCollege football season has arrived! Tonight the Gamecocks and the Tar Heels take the field much to the delight of many football-deprived fans.

To gear up for the season we’ve been sharing tips on how to create an enviable game-day spread, our favorite “spirit” finger shades, and asking you to sound off in our annual South’s Best Tailgate competition.

Now, here’s another winner: We’ve scored you a free cozy-chic scarf courtesy of Slater Zorn. The luxe fan-fashion brand caters to the football enthusiast who prefers a tailored skirt to a T-shirt and a bow tie to a ball cap. Though headquartered in both New York and Kansas, we’re giving them honorary Southern status for their shared love for game-day style. From luxurious cashmere wrist warmers, to silk blouses, and needlepoint belts for our dapper gents, they’ve got you covered head-to-toe.

Tell us how you would sport the scarf (shown above) on game day in the comments section for a chance to win it in your team’s color!

The contest begins today and ends September 6. Official rules here.

Whilst it’s warm I would wear this in blue and white to support my UK Wildcats. I’d casually tie to a bag if need be when its overly humid – it would look lovely on a congac leather coach bag. And since it’s hot outside I would likely wear a paper thin white v-neck t, some great blue shades and dewy natural skin, unbraided fishtail hair and maybe a short skirt in black, low cowboy boots. At last when the weather cools off this would be wonderful to wrap snuggly around my neck. Keep the same t-shirt and add dark rinse jeans, cognac flats, and a fitted black blazer, seriously oversized shades and a big enough tote to stow a nice blue throw in. I believe in using your staples – the classics and working the pops of color from great pieces.

I would wear the light blue version for UNC-Chapel Hill’s Homecoming this year — the first homecoming I could attend with my son who is a recent Carolina graduate — our first football game together as alumni! GO HEELS!

I would love to wear this beautiful scarf with my skinny jeans, a grey top and boots to give cheers to my alma mater, Kennesaw State University! (Even though the team is still growing.) I would also rock the scarf for other fall outings and tailgating! It’s gorgeous!

I would wear the purple and white scarf to cheer on my TCU Horned Frogs. I would use it to add a pop of color to my black blouse paired with purple skinny jeans and my signature TCU Showgirl cowgirl boots. The boots were on the field when the Frogs won the Rose Bowl, and the scarf would be just the perfect accessory for the rest of the Horned Frog victories.

    I’m a Gamecock. :D
I’d wear the black and white scarf with black slacks and a garnet top or an awesome garnet skirt, black boots and a white tee-shirt.
But my eleven year-old son would probably snag the scarf for a bit because he’s into southern clothes at present. His fav outfit of the moment is a blue button-down with rolled-up sleeves and plaid shorts.

Oh wait, we are going to a polo game. The scarf would be perfect for that as well!

LOVE this Ikat print! So perfect to wear for game day in Baltimore for my team the RAVENS! The colors are perfect so I can still support my team while looking totally chic. I would so wear this with brown riding boots, white jeans (duh, you can totally wear these year round, hasn’t anyone heard of winter white???) and my fav fall staple, an oversized high-low shirt paired with this amazing scarf will even have die hard football fans rocking Ravens jerseys jealous of my ensemble!

Bless it! This is the perfect scarf for my Clemson Tiger cheering heart! During the beginning of the season when the temperatures are toasty, I would pair this would an orange tank, a denim skirt and my sparkly gold sandals while chowing down on a tailgate feast! As the season brings in cooler temperatures, bowls of chili while watching the tigers defeat our biggest rivals, I would layer this fabulous scarf with an orange dress, denim jacket and of course, cowgirl boots!! Here’s to the biggest season in the south!

I would wear the light blue and white scarf wrapped around my neck and off to the side at a Citadel football game we’re going to this fall. My boyfriend’s Dad, taught at the Citadel when he was growing up and he’s been a lifelong fan since. I would wave the scarf every time they scored and would use it as a pom pom to twirl while I woot, wooted for the team. I’d top it off with a big smile. Want to join the festivities? See you there. I’ll be wearing my light blue long sleeved top with the tiny silver dots and my comfy blue jeans. Go Bulldogs!!
