Marcy Butler Designs ApronsThanksgiving is just around the corner and like any good Southern hostess we plan to look impeccable. Not just at the dinner table. But all day long. That’s why this year we’ll be sporting these luxe monogrammed aprons from D.C.-based Marcy Butler Designs. Made from Italian linen,  cut in super-fashionable (i.e. not frumpy) silhouettes, and available in both adult’s and children’s sizes, the aprons are the perfect accessory for cooking up a storm. (They also make a lovely holiday gift. How is it possible there’s only a little over a month until Christmas?!) We’ll happily tie-on these apron strings. $55 for child apron, $88 for adult apron; marcybutlerdesigns.com

For a chance to win both an adult and child monogram apron, tell us the dish you’re most looking forward to making this Thanksgiving.

The contest begins today and ends Sunday, November 24. Official rules here

Grandma’s famous and always perfect Apple pie. Every year I try to duplicate the way she made it and I’m getting closer but it’s still not exact. Homemade crust with orange juice in it for sweetness and Macintosh apples. It always looked and tasted like it was straight from a professional bakery. Holidays are not the same without her and her awesome cooking and baking but we try to carry on the tradition.
