Her Start
After taking a couple of ceramics classes while in college, Lindsay was officially smitten. Soon after, in 2009, she launched Suite One Studio. “There is a direct physical relationship between the maker and the clay, and it instantly pulled me in,” she says. Growing up in a family of restaurant owners, Lindsay naturally focused her collection on tableware and found her inspiration in the traditions that surround Southern hospitality. “Plating meals in beautiful ways was simply part of my earliest food experiences,” she says. “I frequently reference vintage silver and other serving pieces for the sizes and shapes of my designs.”
