A Photo Tour of the 2nd Annual Southern Makers Festival

Southern Makers sign close upAfter a successful inaugural event last year, Southern Makers sold out early and kicked off their second-annual blowout this weekend in downtown Montgomery, Alabama. Hundreds of crafters, revelers, shoppers, and music lovers descended on the grounds of the Historic Union Station Train Shed to celebrate Alabama artisans. And there are a lot of them. More than 100 designers, artists, chefs, farmers, and brewers hawked their wares as some of the state’s best musical acts provided the sound track for the day’s festivities.

If there’s one takeaway, it’s that this festival is only on track for growth. Go to southernmakers.com to subscribe to the newsletter and be the first in line to secure tickets to next year’s event. Here, a photo tour of my day with the South’s finest makers.
