The trailer for Overalls & Aprons (below) came across the transom today, and we’re so excited about it that we wanted to share our joy with all of you.
With all eyes on Charleston and the rise of its talented chefs and restaurants, the film trains its lens on the farmers and anglers and the ingredients they grow and procure–the kinds of raw ingredients like oysters that have elevated Charleston’s dining scene to international acclaim.
But is sustainable farming and fishing enough to support the farmers’ livelihoods? And what about the high cost of local ingredients? How do we move the dial to make these great ingredients just as accessible to home cooks as they are to chefs?
We’re trying to figure out the same things here at Southern Living HQ, and these are some of the questions that we hope the film addresses.
