Morgan Murphy has the job everyone wishes they had. He’s driving–and eating–his way across the country in search of the best food shacks, diners, and restaurants off the beaten path. In fact, that’s the name of his book series for Southern Living, Off The Eaten Path, and he’s researching the third installment now.

Morgan’s been tweeting out his journey through the South, one burger at a time, so we’d like to take a moment to show you a few of his most delicious tweets so far.

Oh, and Morgan? Keep ‘em coming.

Pimento Cheese Fritters on a Shoney’s Plate

I’m not sure there’s much to say about these other than good Lord.

Trotter Cake at The Lot Charleston

The day I can cook an egg that fine is the day I’ve achieved my lot in life. On second though, I’d be happy in Morgan’s shoes, just eating it!

Bacon, Egg, Pastrami Sandwich and a Laptop

Even when biting into this delicious sandwich, work’s on his mind (and laptop’s at his elbow).

Charcuterie Plate on a Goat Farm on the South Carolina Coast

What’s more beautiful: the setting or the charcuterie plate?

Gouda Mac and Cheese with Béchamel at Railway Cafe in Texas

Another that speaks for itself. This is a job?

Mr. T Omelette at Buzzbrews in Texas

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, a fact not lost on Buzzbrews. The evidence is this enormous, mouthwatering omelette.

Readers, we’d love to hear from you. At which of the aforementioned places have you eaten?
