Today the ladies at Southern Living are loving National Lipstick Day and couldn’t be happier to celebrate such a regional style staple. From bright pinks and sultry reds to classic nudes, we’ve got lots of favorites. Here, we’ve gathered a few that will get you from Sunday brunch to Friday happy hour.

1. Bobbi Brown in Pink Beige

It’s technically a gloss, but we love it just as much as our lipsticks. You could even think of it as lipstick 2.0 since you can wear it on top of any medium to light shade (or even on its own). The non-sticky gloss is long-lasting and adds subtle color that stays–and that’s saying something in this heat. $25

2. Sephora Collection in Elegant in Brown

Don’t let the name deceive you – this color is less brown, more burgundy. But it’s nothing short of elegant. While many brand promises of long-lasting wear fall through, Sephora holds up. The pigment is super concentrated, making for all-day, all-night wear without that not-so-glamorous fade away. This dark plum works with almost all skin tones. (And carries well into fall!) $13

3. Clinique Chubby Stick in Two Ton Tomato

Chubby Stick is our go-to for summer lipstick. Two Ton Tomato gets that classic red look, but without the goop of a heavy lipstick. The moisturizing lip color “balm” packs the color and stay of lipstick with the feel and moisturizing factors of balm. The light sheen is an added bonus. $17

4. Bite Luminous Crème Beauty in Ballet Pink

This up-and-comer on the beauty scene has already brought some serious competition to the lipstick arena. The application is smooth, and this pink is perfect for summer in the South. Beyond that, Bite’s products include a variety of health boosters, especially resveratrol, an antioxidant that fights free radicals and prevents aging. Plus every Bite product is hand-crafted, one at a time, so you know your lipstick is made with utmost care. $24

5. Lancôme Rouge in Love in Miss Coquelicot

This tropical shade is just right for a stylish summer down South. Lancôme’s take on playful coral stays on for hours without drying or fading to straight-up orange (not what you bargained for). This coral is also pinkish/red enough to work with a variety of skin tones. Feels like balm, wears like a bold lipstick. $28.50
