Charlie Oxford might seem young for a blues man, but his fingers play that fretboard like an old soul. His music, often confessional, bears the weight of a life long lived, even if the Nashville-based artist stands at the beginning of what’s almost guaranteed to be a successful career.
Today, we bring you “Drive Me Crazy.”
Says Oxford, “‘Drive Me Crazy’ is a song that came about in two different interpretations. It’s definitely a love song for anyone at first glance, but if you look closely, it came from the standpoint of watching a friend’s relationship turn very one-sided. He was all-in and trying to make it work, while she didn’t treat the relationship the same way.”
