The library is my favorite room. It brings to mind the libraries in Southern antebellum homes. I love that it’s a multipurpose room and that it’s neither too masculine nor too feminine.

I LOVE THE BEDROOM WITH THE MILBOURNE STRIPE BLUE/SAND CURTAINS AND THE BUNNY WILLIAMS CARNILLE SKY/BROWN UPHOLSTERY. THOSE ARE MY FAVORITE COLORS.

I love the columned portico. As one of the first things you see as you approach the house I think it sets the tone for the whole home.

The home studio/office is my favorite space in the 2015 Southern Living Idea House. The wall-to-wall bookshelves and ample desk space make this a room where I could really get some work done. I also love all of the natural light provided by the windows.

The porch. In my opinion, every house needs a front and back porch. One should be screened and the other not. It’s a great place to get all by yourself and reflect or entertain guests. There’s nothing like a comfortable looking porch! And I like a green wooden floor and the ceilings must be painted haunt blue! And fers are a must.

This house is a true blessing to your heart. Each room takes you to away to your childhood days to present adult days. Every room has a lot of charm that the nautical room takes me back to the days on the ocean. The bamboo bed takes me back to the eighties as a carefree preppy waking up to crisp air and sun shining into my room.

The potting shed with the sink, cannot forget the super long sink. If I could just beam it up and transport it whole to my back yard that would be just fine and dandy!
