Electricity fills the air, along with charcoal smoke and vicious insults hurled at rival universities. College football season is back, that special time when we put aside such trivial matters as emergency surgery and anniversary gifts to celebrate young men heroically turning their brains into jelly for our amusement. If you think parading your school colors stops with wearing a jersey and flying a banner, think again. A dazzling game day garden out front like the one above tells all passers-by who the winners and losers on the block really are. And you could win one, courtesy of our Southern Living Plant Collection!

To find out all the details, watch this incredibly entertaining video featuring the Grump himself.

Bet you didn’t see that one coming!

To recap, to host a truly memorable college football celebration at your house, you need:

  1. Beer
  2. Pretzels
  3. Man cave
  4. Leather recliners
  5. Big screen TV
  6. Southern Living Plant Collection Game Day Garden

Enter by October 16. Just click right here to find out how to do so. The lucky winner will be announced on October 19.

Whoops, gotta go! The game is on. Hey, I could use another beer down here!

Love this post! Designing you landscape and fall blooms around your favorite team is such a creative way to express your team pride and spice up your lawn. It also encourages you to try new color schemes with your plants that you might now have otherwise. The possibilities are truly endless in options. Such a cool idea!
