As a college student at Clemson, my parents would come to all home football games and make a huge tailgate for all of my friends. They never knew how many people would come (our smallest was 10, largest 45). Somehow, there was always enough food!

My favorite memory tailgating would have to be my first football game at my college freshman year. It was such a bonding experience with new dorm friends and I was finally able to relax and be confident in myself that I made the right decision about where to go to school. I was nervous up until this day and to feel secure with new friends, be at a great school, have awesome weather, and a win was a great experience that made me confident and happy!

My best tailgating memory was when camping with family in the North Georgia Mountains. The DAWGS were on the muted TV outside with Munson on the radio…was there any other way to watch back then? SEC football, family and good food…best tailgating memories ever. Thanks for chance to win.

Best tailgate was taking my now wife to our first South Carolina game on the day after she said yes to being my wife. We were engaged for one day and then went on to beat UGA. My best friends all showed up and it was like a celebration for beating the dawgs and an engagement party. It was the best victory cigar with my dad I ever had!

Tailgating with friends I hadn’t seen in about 10 years in front of Auburn’s Funchess Hall. It was so sweet to see them and their small kids.

My favorite tailgating memory is the tailgate party I met the love of my life at. Our town has two school districts and come football season the first game of both of our teams is always a rival game against each other. It is a big deal in our small town, always has been. Even area businesses get in on the fun by putting up decor and painting on their store front windows. I was a junior in highschool and he was a senior, him at one school me at the other.. On most years kids at their school or ours would go and leave signs on their school campus in supprt of the opposite team as a prank. This particular year before the big game several of us from our higschool took red and blue (our colors) solo cups and placed them in their chain link fence so that it spelled out Rams are the BEST on one section and Go Rams on another section. We also left poster board signs all over the buses and campus (as long as we didnt do damage and picked the mess up after a few days neither school cared). Well his school decided they would crash our tailgating party. They came armed with water guns, water balloons, and silly string. He hits me in the face with a water balloon ( i suppose on accident but never will know lol). He takes off running me soaking wet with makeup running down my face didnt catch up. Later that night at the game we ran into each other, he apologized while also trying not to laugh, we sat by each other during the game and the rest is history. We have now been married eleven years and have four beautiful little girls.

The crisp autumn air, the aroma of good food cooking, the excitement of the fans, being with friends and family….that is what football is all about!

My family loves SEC football, especially USC (Go Gamecocks!). Last year, my family met up with my sister’s family for the USC/ECU game. All of us were dressed in garnet and black, my sister and I had prepared all garnet and black foods, and she had decorated the tables and vehicle in garnet and black. We ate, laughed, and shagged to some good old beach music. The best part was seeing my two kids enjoy something that was a tradition for me growing up.

My favorite tailgate memory was 2006 at UA. My daughter’s was in her first year at college and we went to visit her for that weekend. I don’t even remember who played, I do remember that UA won. I had so much fun seeing how she had adjusted to her new college life and was doing well. We had great food, watched wonderful football and made great memories all together!

I honestly don’t have one specific special memory. They are all good because it includes family, friends, food and football.
