There are few things us Southerners love more than tailgating. Each Wednesday through collegiate football season, we’ll be giving away all the essentials to help you take your tailgate experience to a whole new level. Check back each week and enter for a chance to win!

What’s tailgating without some friendly competition and beer cold drinks?

This week, we’re excited to bring you the Triumph Sports Trio Toss Deluxe Game from Hayneedle and four 24 oz. NCAA Tumblers from Tervis.

When it comes to hanging out before the big game, some of the best memories we have are with our friends and family – and the crazy stunts Uncle Loo pulls on the other team’s tailgaters. Nothing gets the fun rolling (or the rivalries brewing!) like classic backyard games. The Triumph Sports Trio Toss from Hayneedle is the trifecta – cornhole, washer toss, and ladder toss – all combined into one portable unit. The Trio Toss includes two game boards, two ladders, eight bean bags, six washers, and two bolas.

And, when you’ve thrown a few, sit down to an ice cold glass of whatever suits your fancy in a classic 24 oz. Tervis Tumbler. Personalized with your NCAA team to help you rock team spirit, these sturdy beverage containers come with lids (so you won’t spill when you get a bag in the hole) and are ready for a whole lot of refills.

How do you spend half time? Comment below for a chance to win. Official rules here.

Waiting in line for a bathroom if I’m at the game, or digging in to the dips and appetizers if I’m watching from home!

Half-time is half fun and half business. The fun half is tossing the football around in the front yard, pretending we made the “big play” and munching on some goodies (usually some BBQ). Of course their are some homemade refreshments as well and the call/tweet/text to revival friends & family to gloat on how we are “crushing” their team.

On the business half, naturally there is taking care of “natures business” so it doesn’t interfere with any of the game, prepping second half goodies and, if we are losing, getting a call/tweet/text from friends and relatives out of state about how they are “owning us” :p

I play darts with my cousins and drink which usually leads to wrestling with my cousins until someone’s wife breaks things up barking about how the little one bruises easily. We are grown people by the way. Perhaps this game set will keep us occupied enough to not have to spend anymore half times at urgent care.

Halftime is for refueling! Head back to our sweet parking spot, grab some snacks, and mix another cocktail. Some of the best times on a gameday are spent in the parking lot. Go Noles!

Definitely watching the bands! Band geeks rock and the shows are the best!

Get more snacks to be ready for the second half. May do a few things around the house that got skipped (do them quickly). Wish they would show the bands at half time instead of analyzing the first half so much. Those bands work hard on their half time shows and I really miss seeing them like you used to be able to do.

I watch the half-time shows – the bands work hard and we should appreciate/respect them! Visit with surrounding friends afterwards then get ready for 2nd half!

At the game, I love watching the bands (former band nerd and mother to two band nerds!) At home, I usually have to rest up…I’ve been trying to help the guys run faster and make better tackles!

During half time I do the things that I should have been doing, but really fast. Put the kid to bed, quickly clean dishes, pick up after the kids, get more to eat then get ready for the rest of the game!
