There are few things us Southerners love more than tailgating. Each Wednesday through collegiate football season, we’ll be giving away all the essentials to help you take your tailgate experience to a whole new level. Check back each week and enter for a chance to win!

Q: What is a tailgate without food?
A:  A bunch of sad people sitting around.

Feed The Party wants to make sure that you are all set to show up the rival tailgaters. Win $300 toward any Feed The Party high-quality burgers, tender strip steaks, juicy sausages, gourmet spices, fresh buns and more – all delivered right to your door. To sweeten the deal, Feed The Party also offers Southern boutique items like Henry Bain’s Sauce, Walker’s Southern Bloody Mary Mix, and Bourbon Barrel Foods goods.

I was a bride wanting a fall wedding, not an easy thing to plan with a family full of football fans and most schedules stating kickoff time “TBD” until a couple weeks before the game. My favorite tailgate / football watch party was my wedding reception with giant TVs in every corner. I didn’t want to miss the football action either: If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em! I vote wedding cake as the best tailgating food!!!!

We take our SEC football very seriously here. Our team are the outstanding Florida Gators and we literally and figuratively devour the opposition teams with our game day food choices. Examples when we play against the Ga Bulldogs we grill dogs or make a big pot of chilli and have chilli dogs and of course or homemade puppy chow. When playing against the U of A crimson tide..the menu will be fish tacos, shrimp poppers and or chowder. Texas is burgers, ribs and texas Sheet cake.
It is all in fin and fun to come up with menu plans. So one way or the other we chomp chomp the other teams. And eat damn good if nothing else.

Love tailgating season! We like corndog casserole, spicy chicken wings, buffalo chicken dip, jalapeno popper dip, cheese & crackers, brownies of all kinds, white chocolate & macadamia cookies, fruit with caramel dip. I usually make something we’ve never had before, but these are my most requested tailgate foods.

We are enjoying our tailgating and cheering on our local team by cooking up brats, burgers, and a side of wings. Not to forget our bacon loving friends we wrap some of the burgers in bacon and smother it in cheese. For those that arent true carnivores (we try to limit no carnivores since we cheer for the PANTHERS) there is an offering of portabella burgers which are a delicious grilled mushroom and since we are in Iowa, we dont forget the grilled corn.Add some grilled onions, some homemade hraut and you got tthe perfect tailgatee spread!
