There are few things us Southerners love more than tailgating. Each Wednesday through collegiate football season, we’ll be giving away all the essentials to help you take your tailgate experience to a whole new level. Check back each week and enter for a chance to win!

Our friends at Dillard’s, Asher Riley and High Cotton want to boost your (or your significant other’s) style game with these classic men’s accessories.

Every Southern man needs a pair of driving shoes that they can slip on and wear all day, especially when it comes to walking around a football stadium. These Cole Haan Gunnison Drivers from Dillard’s are a comfortable leather moccasin-style option with a flexible rubber outsole.

Designed by one of our favorite Birmingham artisans, the Asher Riley Football Needlepoint is a Pima cotton and full-grain leather belt with intricate, hand-stitched footballs. It has a leather tab and solid brass buckle – an easy way to show your fandom. Also from Asher Riley is this charming Football Sunglass Strap, which will help you keep track of your shades when your team kicks a field goal.

Tie together your outfit with a handcrafted bow tie from High Cotton®. These 100% cotton accessories are made in North Carolina, and provide a splash of team colors to whichever outfit you’re sporting. Choose from black & gold tattersall, orange & navy tattersall, purple & gold tattersall, red & black tattersall, orange gingham, houndstooth, royal blue gingham, red & gray tattersall, or red & old blue tattersall.

What’s your go-to game day outfit? Comment below for a chance to win. Official rules here.

I wear a dress and cowboy boots. The dress has to be 100% cotton. Thats important. I wear boots because i hate getting my feet dirty in the stands or walking to the stadium.

We keep it simple – just jeans and a fan t-shirt. 🙂 Maybe some temporary tattoos is we are feeling fancy.

Down south men should always dress up for game days. Navy blazer, oxford shirt, bow tie (team colors), khakis, and loafers. Never too garish, but never too casual. High cotton ties are the best! Would love the Carolina blue gingham bow tie for game days in Chapel Hill.

I blog a lot about what to wear, depending on the weather. My go to for this weekend is going to be a spirit jersey (which is not at all a jersey), and lots of grey for the Nike grey uniforms! GBO.
