We moved last month, so I’m not really sure yet! The front door, obviously, and I know another will go in the dining room and one over the couch. I adore wreaths, and I’m planning to find all of the best places in this house to hang them this season.

I like to hang wreaths on both the front and backs of our doors, so they can be enjoyed from inside as well as outside!

I alternate a couple of sentimental wreaths at our entry. I have a large wreath with red, white and blue balls and ribbon that I made in 2001, following the September 11 attacks. This wreath reminds me not only of the Christmas season, but also of the trials our country endured plus the strength and resilience of the American people. Other years I display a wreath that my now 92 year-old parents handcrafted with hundreds of small holes drilled into a wooden wreath form and twinkling red and green lights poking thru the holes to light up the wreath. This wreath is a tangible reminder of the way that they have worked together through their 69 years of marriage, whether building a project or a family.

I buy 2 balsam wreaths and decorate them my self. I pick a theme. This year it’s “raindeers” I place one on my front door and the other on my kitchen entry door. I get lots of positive comments!
    Happy holidays to all!

While I hang them both on my front door and main entry way at home, my favorite place is on my office door at work. The spirit of the season can sometimes get lost throughout our busy days, this keeps the meaning of Christmas ever at heart and reminder me and those who enter my office (I hope!) to spread the joy!

My daughter makes the most beautiful wreaths for us every year and always something innovative and fresh. One wreath is for above the mantle and the other graces our front door. She is so talented. God bless her.
