There are few things us Southerners love more than tailgating. Each Wednesday through collegiate football season, we’ll be giving away all the essentials to help you take your tailgate experience to a whole new level. Check back each week and enter for a chance to win!

This week, we’re giving away a pair of Michael Kors Chelsea Aviator Sunglasses from Dillard’s and a stylish Skinny Message Ring from The Vintage Pearl.

Originating as a pilot’s go-to eye protection (hence, ‘aviator’) back in 1936, the classic aviator style is back and has been spotted on dozens of our favorite Southern celebs: Sandra Bullock, Julia Roberts, Dakota Fanning, Reese Witherspoon, Beyoncé…the list goes on. Whether you’re snapping selfies with your friends at the tailgate or cheering on your favorite quarterback in the stadium, these flattering shades will keep you looking cool.

Add some shimmer to your outfit with this adorable ring from The Vintage Pearl. Whether you’re sporting your team or the name of your significant other, these hand-molded silver or gold pieces are hand-stamped and ready to match your fabulous tailgating outfit.

What team do you rep, and why do you love them? Comment below for a chance to win. Official rules here.

I actually represent two football teams. The Texas State Bobcats and the University Of Texas Longhorns! I began my college career at Texas State in San Marcos,Texas and then moved over to Austin,Texas to finish my next four years at UT to complete my pharmacy degree. Both teams are pretty special to me because I met my girlfriend at a Texas State football tailgate party 6 years and now we get to go to the games at both schools together!

Me and my girlfriend have been dating for over two years now and I’m so glad we connected back up at a tailgate party before the UT/New Mexico State game! Tailgating before the games with our friends is always a blast and I think my sweet girlfriend would look super cute in a pair of Michael Kors Aviator sunglasses 🙂 If all goes as planned I will graduate in May of 2016 with many great memories and traditions of both school teams that I love! “Hook’ em Horns”~~”Eat ’em Up Cats!”

I rep the South Carolina Gamecocks. SEC football is a way of life and I wouldn’t give up tailgating in cowboy boots and garnet dresses for anything.

It’s unpopular these days to admit it, but I’m a proud Florida State alumna. When I moved to New Orleans several years ago, I started an alumni chapter for expatriate Noles. At our first event, we had only 7 attendees – now we average 150-200! Why do I love my team and alma mater so much? Because of people like Warrick Dunn and Devonta Freeman (even though he’s now with the Falcons!), who inspire my fellow alums and me to do good and live meaningful lives. How do I show my fandom? Sure, I have fifteen years of FSU apparel and a subversively large amount of garnet in my work wardrobe, but being a fan is about more than pigskin under the lights of Doak. I’m a fan because I work to be the best ambassador for my alma mater I can, and by using that passion to make NOLA a better place, one garnet and gold service project and community-oriented game watch at a time. Geaux Noles!

I no longer live in Nebraska, but I was born and raised a Nebraska fan and my cousins and I are proud 5th generation Cornhusker Alumni! I now live in SEC territory, but proudly wear my “N” shirt on game days! I’ve had multiple people stop me and reminisce on a time their team played Nebraska they all comment on how well they are treated as guests in Lincoln! Most importantly, Nebraska leads the nation in Academic All Americans (320 and counting!) To echo the fight song, “There is no place like Nebraska!”

I am a West Virginia girl born and raised and I am true blue for my West Virginia University Mountaineers. It has been a very difficult season for us and the future is looking a little brighter. I, for one, would look dashing in those gold Michael Kors aviator shades as we are the gold and blue! I always love rings to show my love so bring on the tailgate bling and let the fun begin!

I have to represent the Huskers! The tradition of Nebraska runs deep in our family– 7 generations have graduated from the University of Nebraska and the rich history of the football program and the integrity with which they play the game is unrivaled. One of the gates to the stadium reads “Not the victory but the action; Not the goal but the game; In the deed the glory.” This is a purpose to not only play a game by but live by. How inspirational that a football program can represent all of this!

I represent the University of South Carolina Gamecocks! That school and many of the football games have been attended by multiple generations in my family. Though we don’t see eye-to-eye on all life subjects, we are all loyal to our team. It unites us as a family.

I represent the NC State Wolfpack! Game day was a day to celebrate with college friends who have now become lifetime friends. On those fall Saturday mornings, taking a break from studying, dressing up in red and cheering on the team was a bonding experience for four years. Wolfpack fans didn’t always get the win, but we cheered with resolve regardless, and that’s why I love the Pack!

I’m not sure why. It’s not like I ever lived there. But the team that took my fancy as a child was the Green Bay Packers. They’ve been my team ever since.
