The holidays can be a stressful time of year, especially when it comes to school breaks, dinner parties, non-stop baking and last-minute Christmas shopping. Whether you’re using the Time-Out Bottles as a tool for your child to gauge the length of their time-out or you’re just looking for a fun holiday craft, these glittery bottles are an easy choice. Try letting your kids customize with stickers or markers, or using holiday-themed colors.

Time-Out Glitter Bottles

Materials:
Large water bottle (we used Smart Water)
Bottle of glitter glue
1/2 c. warm water
Extra fine glitter
Water
Super glue

Instructions:

  1. Empty out the water bottle, removing any plastic labeling and sticky residue. Add the warm water and the entire bottle of glitter glue to the water bottle. Replace the lid and shake until the two are fully blended and no clumps are visible. If the glue isn’t ‘melting’, try using warmer water.
  2. Add water until the bottle is 3/4 of the way full. Add two tablespoons of glitter to the bottle, replace the lid, and shake until everything is mixed together.
  3. Fill the bottle to the rim with water, leaving no room for air. Dry the mouth of the bottle and use super glue to seal the bottle permanently.
