“We used to run around from one party to the next, and we felt like we never really got to see friends or family,” Lela says of her previous holiday agenda. Now, the fashion designer and author of Prêt-à-Party: Great Ideas for Good Times and Creative Entertaining prefers arranging seated dinners for her friends and family, where everyone can connect and toast the New Year. The Roses strive to make every holiday celebration magical—and that includes wardrobe. “My mom always stresses the importance of being dressed,” Lela says.

DEEDIE: “Top off your outfit with something unusual. Whether it’s a scarf or a necklace, I always finish the look with something fun.”

LELA: “Skip basic black, and opt for winter white and silver sparkles. It’s a fresh and festive combination.”

Article was inspiring at a time when the seasonal parry goers need a boost into the New Year…What better way than to spark conversation with people who can conspire and admonish their convictions in a festive setting with chic holiday sophistication. Going glam. . .
