Cold temperatures can dry out your lips, leaving them feeling chapped and uncomfortable. Instead of constantly reapplying chapstick, try exfoliating your lips once a day with this all-natural Peppermint Cocoa Lip Scrub. Not only will this save you a few bucks – your lips will instantly feel softer.
The Project: Peppermint Cocoa Lip Scrub
3 tablespoon cocoa powder
1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
1/2 tablespoon of pure peppermint extract
1/3 cup grapeseed oil
- Add light brown sugar and cocoa powder to a bowl and mix thoroughly.
- Pour in grapeseed oil and peppermint extract, and combine until your lip scrub forms a grainy paste.
- Store in a sealed glass container.
- To use, dab a small amount of Peppermint Cocoa Lip Scrub on your lips. Using a clean finger, rub in a circular motion for 15-20 seconds. Use a warm, damp cloth to remove the excess rub.
Your lip scrub will last up to one month. You may need to stir occasionally before use.
