Three Outfits Perfect for Finicky Weather

I think it’s safe to say that we’re all looking forward to warm and sunny days! Unfortunately, the forecast calls for cooler temps again this week. To make these chilly days a little more exciting, I’ve teamed up with bloggers Beth Aschenbach and Danielle Norcross, from Palm Beach Lately, to bring you three layered looks that can accommodate the large temperature swings that are often seen on February days.

Look One. Part of the beauty of southern Georgia is that I get to spend time on the beach throughout the entire year. Winter mornings on the coast tend to be both chilly and windy, so a stylish wind breaker, pair of boots, and layered tops provide the perfect foundation for a February wardrobe. I usually stick with a classic pair of jeans—such as these Capri J. Brand Jeans. I then paired it with this cozy Soft Joie plaid shirt and a water resistant Ciao Milano Tess jacket. I finished the look with a horse hair necklace from the Twine & Twig, since it complimented the natural color palette of the coastal landscape while also accenting the various shades of blue found in the shirt. You can snag this complete look at Finicky Filly, located at 303 King Street in Charleston, South Carolina. For those of you that aren’t planning on visiting Charleston anytime soon, Finicky Filly offers a Brown Box service! Their style experts work with you to understand your personal style, preferences and needs. Then, they ship completely styled outfits to your door! It doesn’t get any easier than that to put together the perfect outfit. – Monica Lavin, Lavin Label

Look Two. The weather in Palm Beach this winter has been unpredictable and the temperature can quickly change from cool to warm, so I wear layers like this blush cashmere wrap from one of our favorite Worth Avenue boutiques, J. McLaughlin. Since I recently had a baby and am currently in between sizes, I am wearing affordable white jeans from Articles of Society at Nordstrom. To finish my winter look, I love these comfortable Sam Edelman ankle booties, grey Tory Burch convertible bag (another favorite shop right on the Ave!), gold Lisi Lerch tassel necklace and simple Jemma Sands bangles. This look is perfect for strolling Palm Beach’s many shops or enjoying an al fresco lunch at one of the local cafes. – Beth Aschenbach, Palm Beach Lately

Look Three. One of my favorite things about a typical Palm Beach winter, besides the dreamy sunshine and perfect beach temperatures, is that we are known to wear both white and dresses (bonus when combined!) throughout the season. I like to style these island staples by wearing modern takes on classic pieces, such as this tailored J.Crew tweed jacket over this sleek white Club Monaco dress with these high heel Sam Edelman booties. All three pieces work really well for dressing a growing baby bump, too! And a Palm Beach outfit is not complete without at least a little pink, like these blush J.Crew aviators, Lisi Lerch tassel earrings and Rebecca Minkoff clutch! – Danielle Norcross, Palm Beach Lately
