While Hillary Scott is a well-known member of Grammy-winning country trio Lady Antebellum, she returned to her roots for her most recent project. Hillary Scott & The Scott Family released their album “Love Remains” on July 29th. The family came together and used music to bring them through a difficult season after the passing of Scott’s grandfather in 2011, and the journey eventually led them to create the 13-track collection. The stories behind the songs are personal, but were created to share a message of joy and hope through difficult times.

“The process of making this album has been not only creatively inspiring but I’ve also really been able to grow as a person,” shared Hillary Scott. “We’ve had this intense concentrated amount of time as a family together, which has been so special. With all that we’ve gone through together, the highs, the lows – to be able to process all of that together, to heal together, to grieve together, to laugh, to cry, all of those things…it’s just been such a continuation of solidifying the strong foundation that we have in our family.”

Watch the exclusive video below to see Hillary share the story behind “Beautiful Messes”, one of three songs on the album that she had a part in writing.

I love this new album! It brought tears to my eyes after reading your post how it all came together. I lost my mom January 2016 to dementia. She was 79 years old. My sister and I were her caregivers for The Last 5 Years, actually most of our childhood life she was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 27 and became crippled at the age of 32. There was a lot she couldn’t do for herself but I will say she was a true servant of God. She preached in every prison in Southern California and was well loved by all her friends and family.Thank you so much for this album it’s brought healing to my soul. God bless all of you. It’s so awesome to see a family come together and make such beautiful music. God bless you all!
