10 Tailgate Giveaway Week 4: Grill, Tent, Chairs, & Tumblers from Dicks

Raise your pom poms, Southerners – it’s time for football in the South! Give us a Saturday,  the SEC, and a tall glass of sweet tea (or bourbon) and you can find us at the tailgate, cheering on our favorite teams. In honor of this fall tradition, we’re going to be giving away items every Wednesday that’ll take your tailgate party-throwin’ to the next level.

Saving your spot at the game couldn’t be easier with these tailgating essentials. We’re bringing back our favorite folks at Dick’s Sporting Goods for a tailgate package of all the game day necessities that you can use for years to come. First, take a glance upwards at that beautiful, shiny Coleman RoadTrip LXE portable grill. This portable, easy-to-clean cast iron grill guarantees steady heat (even in the cold), authentic grilling taste, double burning power, and a large cooking surface perfect for boisterous tailgating.

And, it gets even better. Grill under a durable Quest Canopy tent (also great for marking your territory), two comfortable Quest Hard-Arm Chairs, and a Yeti Tumbler Cup guaranteed to keep your drink cold or hot all game long.

What me and my family have always loved most about fall in the South is attending our annual Lions Club Carnival! Our local Lions Club has been setting up a huge carnival of rides and games every October in our small town for the community to enjoy for 77 years! Some of my favorite rides/games through the years are the Ferris Wheel, Merry Go Round, Scrambler, Dime Toss, Gold Fish booth, Bingo, Tilt-A-Whirl, Kiddie Train, Kiddie Cars and many others! Everyone who comes through the gates usually heads back to enjoy a delicious hamburger and fries cooked right there in the park! You can’t walk around without smelling the amazing smells of sausage on a stick, cotton candy, funnel cakes, shrimp on a stick, chocolate dipped strawberries and a ton of other carnival foods!
As a child I can remember that every kid who tried their luck at winning a goldfish to take home that night always seemed to magically get the ball into the tank just when you weren’t looking and it was fun to take my niece and nephew to the carnival last night to see that tradition is still being carried on! Our Lions Club is the ONLY Lions Club on the planet that owns, operates and maintains all of it’s own carnival rides! Every year when we attend it’s like taking a step back in time to your childhood because you see friends and past teachers you haven’t seen since the carnival year before! All the money raised goes to local charities so it’s a win-win for everyone!

Watching the changing of the colors of the leaves on the trees. Watching the change of the football rankings. Fall is the best time of the year!

I love how fall in the South is colorfully displayed through SEC college football. Whether you are singing Rocky Top for TN while in orange or in Barton Rouge proudly wearing purple and gold, fall is in the air. Football and fall brings families and friends together while creating memories and reliving traditions.

The best part about fall is the yummy richness in colors and soups and candles. I love snuggling with my kiddos and reading a good book. When our team is playing we cheer them on and go crazy when there’s a touchdown. We like cozying up to a bonfire and roasting marshmallows. My fuzzy cozy socks are my favorite to wear in the house. I love that when we get together after harvest is done we can unwind and talk about the fields, tractors and crop yields. The crisp air in the weekend mornings makes my kids run to our room and jump in bed with us and snuggle.

The best part about Fall in the South is the crisp cool mornings and evenings, that are broken up by warm afternoons. These days are usually spent enjoying family, football, and the flannel.

I love the cooler weather, “sweatshirt” weather in our house. Usually a sweatshirt sporting a particular SEC team logo…
