If you haven’t heard the soulful ballads of Nashville-based country duo High Valley, you’re going to want to pull up a chair.

When brothers Brad and Curtis Rempel came to the South from their Alberta, Canada home, the sound was already in their blood. “Country music was part of our family even before we decided to pursue a career in it,” says Curtis. This was despite the fact that the brothers didn’t have a television or radio growing up to listen to. “When we got to Nashville, we were already two decades behind,” Curtis joked. “But, that lack of exposure has definitely influenced our sound. We’re paired up with a more modern producer, Seth Mosley, and it’s a magical mix to have that pop vibe mixed with our natural bluegrass sound.”

The pair’s most successful single, “Make You Mine,” is a Southern love song that ranks with the best of them. Today, we’re thrilled to be premiering the “Make You Mine” Farmhouse Sessions video, the first in a series with High Valley performing stripped-down versions of songs from their upcoming Dear Life album. The videos were shot at Brad’s creative retreat outside Nashville, at a farmhouse that he and Curtis are currently restoring.
