Belize Navidad!

Belize Navidad

What would you rather do for Christmas? Cook for your family at home or go on a relaxing Caribbean cruise?

If you would rather cook, the Grump strongly suggests you resume your anti-psychotic medication.

Grumpy has resumed his, which is why he will be spending the holidays among the beautiful islands down south, swimming with the dolphins, wrestling with the jaguars, and dancing in the moonlight. Along the way, he may consume some nutritious, all-natural, plant-based beverages, such as rum, tequila, and beer.

One stop along the way will be lovely Belize, shown above, so we can visit my sister-in-law, Penny, and her husband, Mark. I can’t wait for them to pamper us like the sophisticated, morally bankrupt gringos we are.

I don’t know how much internet access I’ll have while in the steam room, whirlpool, disco, or spa, but I will try my best to contact the outside world here on this blog. So if you have any gardening questions, I’ll try to remember what a garden is and answer.

Meanwhile …….uh, Miss? Can you apply a little more pressure to my left shoulder? It’s feeling a little tight.

Grump,Southern Living can afford to provide you with a life-cam to strap on your head so all your fans can see a live feed broadcast of your vacation and I especially want to see the jaguar wrestling and all of that dancing in the moonlight. I’m guessing there will be plants there that need your tending, as well. Happy travels!

Merry Christmas ! I have enjoyed your post this past year and look forwarding to reading more in 2010. H
P.S. One year, I spend a Christmas in Australia and Hawaii (yes, same year, I crossed the international date line on Christmas day traveling from Melbourne to the big island) and I will never be gone on Christmas again…there’s no place like home for the holidays.

No one said life is fair! Here we sit in the frozen north (of the Southeast).
The best Thanksgiving I ever spent was in the Caribbean. Haven’t been able to dodge any other holidays since then.
Enjoy your peaceful and tranquil time away from the stressed out holidays!
PS Stop by my blog today. I gave you a mention. 🙂
