We introduced you to our friends Back Down South last month, and are thrilled to partner with them to bring you some inspiring holiday looks. (We’d love to hear about what you are wearing this holiday — share with us in the comments!)

First up, meet Candice Beaty. Candice was spotted at a gathering in Talking Rock, Georgia.

Here’s the story behind her look. It’s not to late to get inspiration for your weekend parties. (Who wouldn’t want that adorable clutch?)

Hometown: Chapel Hill, North Carolina

Home now: Athens, GA

Occupation: Teacher

What she’s wearing:
– Pearl Earrings
– Vintage Pearl Necklace from Angora in Athens, GA
– Nisolo clutch
– Fab’rik dress
– Grey Tights
– Qupid Teal Pumps

How would you describe your personal style?
Olivia Palermo with the occasional Bill Cosby sweater.

Favorite Southern designer and why?
Kendi Skeen of Bloom in McKinney, TX. Her store is filled with pieces that are all unique yet timeless and classic. How she pairs and combines items is elegant yet adorable and affordable. I really appreciate her style blog KendiEveryday because she shows how truly easy it is to mix and match a wardrobe to create many incredible looks.

Who/what are your style influences?
Lands End Canvas, Marissa Webb of JCrew and A Well Traveled Woman

Currently coveting:
The new J.Crew herringbone vest and a perfectly vintage Fair Isle sweater.

Would never wear:
Turtleneck, unless it was under a tacky Christmas sweater.

What are your predictions for Southern-influenced fashion in 2013?
The staples of pearls, boots and cardigans will never leave, but the trends of matching them with plaid or blazers is emerging more and more.

What’s your favorite Christmas tradition?
My family always chose a new ornament each winter to symbolize the year we had. That way when we grew up (and got married) we already had a collection of memorable ornaments from all the years past. I told my husband that I would love to start this tradition with each other so I chose the sentimental crayon to symbolize my first year teaching. He chose R2D2.

Final thought. Southern style is?
