I would love to win these for my son and his girlfriend, who, though not yet ready to move in together, are nesting and collecting!

I’m still using the basics we received for our wedding from my grandfather (the cook in the family) when he found out we didn’t receive any at our shower (seven years ago!)

My cookware is so worn out. I keep meaning to buy more but learned well from my grandmother, who grew up during the Depression, to use what you have until it absolutely falls apart. I won’t even throw soap away until it is a small sliver that melts away in your hand!

After 30 years of marriage, I am still using the cookware and flatware we started out with. Frankly, it is still functional but I am tired of it! I would love to have new things and pass my old kitchenware on to my twenty-something son who is just starting out.

I’m in the market for something new! After 9 years of marriage, I have finally given in and started cooking more. I have mis-matched cookware and need something that is inspiring so I will enjoy cooking more!

I am a cook that is rekindling her love of cooking. Now that my boys are a little older (2 and 5), it is a little easier to go in the kitchen and cook without fear of them pulling a bookcase on them while I’m out of the room. My husband gave me a beautiful set of cookware 2 years ago that he accidentally put in the dishwasher a few months ago and ruined (it was a hard anodized set). I’ve been using my old set I had before we got married, but it isn’t non stick and I hate using a bunch of oil in it.

I’ve been married for 35 years and it’s time to get some updated and new pots and pans and other kitchen items. I still have tupperware from our wedding!

I’d LOVE to win this cookware! We are a family of 6 on one budget and could really use these. We only have one frying pan and three cooking pan that we got when we first married and they are just wore out. I’ve been wanting to buy a really nice set but everytime I check on some they are very costly. So while we need some I just make do with what we have. Preparing food for our family is special. It’s our time to sit around the table and share what’s going on. After our meal we usually go around the table and everyone shares something good that happened that day. And also something we are grateful for. It’s so neat to hear what the kids have to share. We don’t eat out much and I love to cook! So these would be a great addition for us. I’d be tickled and so proud to finally have a nice set of cookware :)

After 45 years of marriage (this June) a lot of my stuff is plain worn out or mismatched, etc. so having new cookware and flatware from Ikea would be nothing but fabulous!!!

I could surely use some new pots, and flatware, and just love to browse the aisles in Ikea for housewares such as these. The flatware in my drawer has dwindled over the years from service for 8 to enough pieces to serve 5, and I really should get rid of all my Teflon coated old scratched pots that are probably unsafe to use, and replace everything. I’m retired and on limited income, so I hope to win these sets from Southern Living.

I am currently a college student and cook in the kitchen with a wide conglomeration of hand-me-down, cheap, and broken cookware. My parents gave me some of their old pots and pans when I first moved into an apartment and my roommates did the same, since then our cookware requirements have been met with cheap solutions. I am majoring in a health related field and enjoy making food I know not only tastes good, but is nutritious and beneficial to my health. Not to mention making your own food is much cheaper than eating out which is of great importance when living on a college budget. To win one of the cookware and utensil sets would be a dream come true! Our cookware is in bad shape with it being shared between four (dreaming-to-be-domesticated) girls. My roommate has literally burned lentils into the bottom of one of our pans on more than one occasion! No joke. While hilariously funny, I don’t think I can make it through the loss of another pot due to burnt legumes. Thanks for the opportunity to salvage our sad cookware situation!

My daughter moved back home for 6 months after an accident with her family including two little boys. Need I say more? The flatware I used on a daily basis (the pieces I can find) have been destroyed. OMG! Then the three (3) year old, beat up my pots and pans. In the process of shopping to replace flatware, plastic ware and pans that have been scratched. I think once I replace these items, I will send the old pieces to her house.

The reason this contest appeals to me… I need new silverware. I recently purchased some (I won’t name the brand) from Amazon, it was a daily deal… a whole lot of silverware for a little bit of money. I’m not pleased with them at all. I had another brand that I had had since I got married, they lasted for 16 years, but with the addition of 3 kids to our family, the 9 forks that we had gotten down to (some lost, some thrown away apparently…), we always seemed to be out of forks. So I purchased this other brand and they’re just not the same quality. I have a new set of pots and pans, the ikea ones would be a perk of winning the silverware!

I would love to win this cook ware and Flat ware, all I have is handme downs, I bought some bake ware at another store and it rusted, some of it had never been used either. Need some good one’s. Bad.

I need kitchen basics because I have always gotten hand-me-downs and filled in with inexpensive products. No wedding on the horizon – so this is the only way it’s going to happen any time soon!

I’m currently using my great grandmother’s silver and china for everyday. The silver and china is simple but nice. I was told that she worked in a department store and would buy it as she could afford it. While I love both, the silver requires polishing, and china is not microwaveable. As for pots and pans, I’ve got parts from college, my mother, and gifts. A mish-mash.

To be honest with you we have mix and match pots, pans, lids and flatware. Most of our flatware has disappeared. The pots/pans we have are worn out from people using metal in them not, plastic so everything sticks. We have lids that don’t fit the pots/pans.A new set would be great.

I am a mother of 2 active teens so I am constantly cooking! My pots & pans have been well used and well loved, but they are in dire need of being replaced! I have the same ones since my bridal shower 17 years ago. They have served me & my family well. Not only have they fed us, but I have cooked countless meals for friends, family, classmates, and teammates. Yes, a new set of pots & pans would be fantastic!

I love these durable pots. My current set it a 22 year old set that has begun to lose its nonstick coating. So it is time for a replacement so I can have picture of beautiful pots on my blog as well as food!

My boyfriend and I just moved into our very first place- to replace the mismatched hand-me-down pots, pans, and flatware would be spectacular! Might even make us feel more like grown ups… might.

I want to win this one especially. One reason is I don’t have a matching set of silverware or cookware. And though I hate to admit it, using those butter knives as a screw driver has taken it’s toll on my current knives. I love to cook and this would be the perfect addition to my kitchen. Thank you Southern Living for this wonderful opportunity!

I would LOVE some new flatware! Ours need replacing (our current set has been through college, 4.5 years of marriage, and two kids!), but all our other projects and replacements have pushed the new flatware and cookware onto the back burner :)

Have a new home in Nashville, TN but my dishes are all hand me downs from friends and family. I have never been thrilled to cook but i think that is because it is sad to use old dingy pots. This would be such a spark in my families life and i know create the desire to cook more. I would love to be the envy of all my new friends here in TN. How fantastic this gift would be.

We rarely eat out, just not in the budget, so my cookware sees a lot of action. I cook for the extra dancers, school chums, soldiers, wrestlers, whoever my kids bring home. New cookware would inspire me to become a better chef for sure! To have a matching set of flatware would be dreamy!
