Remember how you were so excited when you were the first to get Birchbox, getting all those surprise beauty treats delivered to your doorstep? Well, we have one better for you. Sure, we still love the big subscription boxes, but are most excited by a new subscription service that delivers products made in the South— specifically, one of our hottest cities.

Just a few months old, BATCH Nashville sends subscribers a box of well-curated Nashville-made goods. Each box contains five items made by artisans in and around The Music City, along with the story behind each product and business.

The product is the brainchild of Sam Davidson, a young Tennessee entrepreneur who got the idea for the business last Christmas as he assembled gift boxes for friends with made-in-Nashville items. When his pals received Sam’s boxes of local treats, they loved them, and he got to thinking.

What if he could harness the burgeoning maker culture of the region, bundling up products from small businesses and shipping them around the world? Sam had his next great idea.

By this fall, BATCH Nashville had shipped their themed boxes to more than 43 states. “We hear a lot from people who grew up in the South, or went to college here and identify with the region, and want to share the products being made here,” he says.

Users (or gifters) can subscribe for one, three, or yearly packages, or just order a single BATCH. Among the themed boxes: “Smell Like A Man Gift Batch,” “Caffeine Lover’s Gift Batch,” and the “Happy Hour” pictured below:

At Southern Living, we enjoyed digging into “The Rise & Shine,” which includes 13 oz. of coffee from Garage Coffee Company, two lbs. of pancake mix from My Friend Who Loves To Cook, 6 oz. of honey from TruBee, and a double serving of oatmeal from Hauling Oates.

Lucky you: We’re giving away a three-month seasonal subscription to their newest offerings, which include December’s (“Santa’s Got A Brand New Batch”), January (“New Adventures”) and February (“Movie Night”). Though the products in the boxes are a surprise, we know they are going to be fantastic.

Enter to win by leaving a comment: Why should you win this three months of made-in-the-South goodness delivered to your doorstep? Tell us why below by November 13 [full contest rules here].

I am really loving the theme/design of your blog.

Do you ever run into any web browser compatibility problems?
A handful of my blog readers have complained about my blog not operating correctly
in Explorer but looks great in Firefox. Do you have any tips to help fix this
    problem?

This would be a wonderful surprise for my husband! Normally, all the fun stuff in the mail comes to me, but this would make his day (or month!). He is a true southern gentleman, and this is right up his alley!

I want to win this Batch Nashville giveaway because I would love to be able to review the service and the local products on my Tennessee lifestyle blog, Crescent View Farm! I like to promote buying or growing locally whenever I can.

Even though I live in Nashvile, it’s hard to find the great items that are local to the area. It would be a fun way for my daughters and I to treat ourselves to some of Nashville’s best local products.

Because I live in the north and wish sooooo badly that I lived in the south! It’s my favorite place to vacation and if I win the goodies, I would feel like I’m on a southern vacation up north!

I used to live outside of Nashville and miss the Tennessee hospitality and artisan crafts from the area-so many fond memories! Who doesn’t love getting a surprise package in the mail!

I broke my pelvis in July. Was confined to home in a wheelchair for three months. Missed out on several planned trips…one to Nashville. Winning 3 months of goodies would be a great compensation prize for missing out on three months of fun. Thanks.

    Dear Batch Nashville,
My husband and I are newly married and had to uproot after getting married and move to Chicago! Being born and raised in Nashville made the move the hardest thing I have ever done! Getting some Nashville goodies for a few months would be a dream come true!
    Great company!!

I’ll be honest, it’s not for me. I am attempting to win for my parents. Every day since they left TN for a job opportunity 7 years ago, they’ve wished to come back – but only this time to Nashville. Wishes came true and they moved to Music City in in Sept 2013 and are officially new kids on the block. I can’t think of a better Welcome/37th Anniversary gift than a 3 month delivery from Batch Nashville. They’ll be over the moon! Thank you!

I have traveled extensively and Nashville has always felt like home. Getting Batch Nashville every month would be like a delicious journey with visits to local artisans whose products add flavor to the Music City.

This lifelong Tennessean is about to experience her first New England winter. I may be trying to survive the East Coast life, but my heart will always be in Tennessee.

I would LOVE to win this! I visited Nashville last Christmas/New Years, and I fell in love with the city. I can’t wait to plan my next trip back, but until then, this would keep me company!

I  Need to win this because I live in the beautiful North Georgia mountains; just out of reach of my wonderful Tennessee girlfriends whom I miss tremendously. They are all strewn throughout the south. This will be the perfect teaser in my campaign to get them up here over the holidays for pancakes and coffee in front of a roaring mountain fire. Not to mention the box would repurpose perfectly as a container for my son’s matchbox cars.

I should win, because I need a little bit (okay a lot) of Nashville in my life to improve my singing. This certainly wouldn’t hurt.

I can think of my relatives in Nashville or anywhere in Tennessee when I receive it. I can think of my visit there with my now deceased grandparents when I get it.

Because I can still pretend I live in Nashville when I open it…
