I first met Chassity Evans of Look Linger Love earlier this year at Charleston Fashion Week when she was kind enough to take me under her stylish wing for a night. By the end of the night I was ready to pack my bags and move to Charleston, inspired by Chassity’s love for the city, effortless style, and Rolodex of hip and charming friends.

We caught up with Chassity to learn more about her style mantras and inspiration.

Living In: “Charleston—my favorite city in the world.”

Personal style: “My style is best described as feminine with an edge. But I do have a strong love for black.”

Fashion Icon: “While I don’t personally wear a lot of Lilly Pulitzer, you can’t deny that woman had style and courage. She built a beautiful and successful brand.”

Fall must-have: “I’m in love with these Rachel Comey loafers. They are the coolest flat I’ve seen in a while.”

Chucktown flair: “Charleston isn’t afraid to get dressed up but in a casual and comfortable way. The girls dress feminine; I like that.”

Retail therapy:Hampden Clothing/JamesTwo Brunettes, and Shoes on King are my top shops in Charleston.”

Made in the South: “I’m a huge supporter of local line Troubadour. Lindsey, the designer, is a friend of mine and her line matches her amazing personality. Did you see that she’s now carried by Neiman Marcus?”

A Southern woman never leaves the house without: “Lipstick.”

Now, here’s a few things we learned while trolling Chassity’s blog.

1. You’ll have more fun when wearing red.
