Take your pick from this niche shopper’s enclave with boutiques devoted to denim, shoes, and emerging designer finds.

1. Rope
Discover emerging labels, such as Brazilian print-loving brand Maria Bonita Extra and Euro-cool Iro from France. Rope’s owner, Laura Scott, has a knack for spotting the next great designers and carries small quantities of each item, so you’ll find pieces no one else will have. “It’s all about being different and standing out,” Laura says. 1508 East 15th Street; ropetulsa.com

2. The Nest
Owner Allan Suzor describes his year-old shop as “urban farmhouse chic” with its mix of rustic home goods and modern accessories. It’s the perfect place to stock up on shower and wedding gifts such as a candle from in-house line Twig (citrus-and-teak and fir are the most popular scents) and accoutrements such as dopp kits ($45) and metal flasks. 1515 East 15th Street; 918/530-5580

3. Style Lab
Opened in 2012, Style Lab serves as a resource for trend-seeking gentlemen with classic-yet-edgy styles from labels such as WeWood ($135), Nudie Jeans ($179), and Over Under from Jacksonville, Florida. Once a month, Style Lab hosts fun benefits like cocktail parties and concerts for local nonprofits. 1338 East 15th Street; stylelabtulsa.com

4. T.A. Lorton
The shop’s ability to mix new (think Heather B. Moore jewelry) with classic (Juliska dinnerware) has kept it a mainstay in Tulsa for more than 27 years. Find large furniture, jewelry, and tabletops arranged in ever-changing, inspiring vignettes. “You’ll find a different store every week,” says manager Martha Grimmer. 1343 East 15th Street; talorton.com

5. Blue Jean Baby
You won’t have to dig through the artfully stacked Citizens of Humanity, Hudson, and AG Jeans to find your true blues. Staffers here are pros at helping shoppers comb through the extensive selection. The gratis punch and fresh baked goods are the cherry on top at this homey spot. 1602 East 15th Street; bluejeanbabytulsa.com

Shopping Break
Try the crispy quail legs ($12) and bacon-jam bruschetta ($9) for starters, but save room for the goat cheese gnocchi with Brussels sprouts and sweet potatoes ($16) at swanky Smoke on Cherry Street restaurant. smoketulsa.com

If you’re around for brunch, try the Almond Griddle Cakes ($8) or French Toast Sandwich ($10) with ham at Lucky’s Restaurant. luckysrestauranttulsa.com
