We spent a weekend strolling along the streets of Old Town in Alexandria, Virginia, to find the best boutiques in the area. Here, some of our favorites.

The Lucky Knot

This shop reads like a Rolodex of preppy staples: Southern Tide, Vineyard Vines, Sperry, and Elizabeth McKay all find a home among the racks at this his-and-hers boutique. 101 King St.

Coco Blanca

Everything in stock is neutral-hued at this serene shop on South Union Street. Blending vintage furniture with new designs like chic washed burlap pillows ($48.50), Coco Blanca has something to suit every taste, from the city gal looking to update her loft to the hopeless romantic who favors the French farmhouse look. 210 South Union St.

Mint Condition

At first glance you’d think Mint Condition is just another pristine high-end boutique, but sift through the racks to shop $400 Milly dresses for $82; $200 Trina Turk tops (with the tags still on!) for $42; and $1,600 Chanel bags (ahem, they retail for $4,400). What’s best—most pieces get marked down after they’ve been in the store for more than 60 days. Hello, $30 Prada skirt. 103 S St. Asaph St.

Red Barn Mercantile

You’ll find a little bit of everything—BabyLit kids’ books ($9.99), linen couches, woven rugs, vintage Mason jars—at this eclectic home shop that feels more like a friend’s house than a retail stop. 1117 King St.

Since 2000, Bellacara has been the go-to source for stocking up on Kevyn Aucoin lipsticks ($33) and Stila shadows along with hard-to-find labels such as perfumer Linari and T. LeClerc powders. Visit the shop for makeup lessons or to get your makeup applied before a special event. 1000 King St.

The Shoe Hive

Whether you consider yourself a prim-and-proper lady who favors Kate Spade and Michael Kors pumps, or a trendsetter with an affinity for Tory Burch leopard ($350) flats, you’ll meet your match in Old Town’s sole shoe purveyor. 127 S Fairfax St.

Take a Shopping Break: For lunch, build a fresh-off-the-farm salad at Petite Fontaine Salad & Co. on South Royal Street. As the day wraps up, stop at Society Fair to stock up on chef Cathal Armstrong’s selection of locally made cheeses and house-made pickles, cocktail mixers, and sweets.

It’s very trouble-free to find out any topic on web as
compared to textbooks, as I found this paragraph at this web site.
