Summer without a grill? That would be like a biscuit without butter, gin without tonic, or Hall without Oates. Let Southern Living add some bling to your backyard with this shiny new Infinity Series Kamado from our pals at Grill Dome.

2296302_AtoZGForget the Harley. Forget the F-150. The rig to get for Father’s Day is a Kamado Grill Dome. The secret behind smoky ribs, brag-worthy briskets, and pitmaster-perfect pork shoulders, these dynamic ceramic cylinders on steroids have been known to induce OCD, aka Obsessive Ceramic Disorder, in hard-core backyard BBQ enthusiasts.

To enter for a chance to win, tell us what you’re grilling up this summer in the comments section. For contest rules, click here.

Don’t forget to tag your posts, tweets, and Instagrams with #SouthernFoodNow. You might just be featured on The Daily South.

Obviously no one reads these comments as I have had absolutely no response to my questions in numerous messages as to who was the winner of the Kamado grill last June. This whole thing must be a scam as no answers are forthcoming from “Southern Living” nor “The Daily South”.

My mamaw loves this grill! She has talked about it ever since she found the ad for the giveaway in her Southern Living magazine. I took the hint and decided to enter for a chance to win. She plans on cooking up all sorts of her fresh garden vegetables including, but not limited to: zucchini, squash, peppers, onions, tomatoes, potatoes, and corn. These delicious veggies must, of course, be paired in various combinations with steak, chicken, pork, and Mamaw’s favorite: shrimp. She makes the best pork ribs in the Appalachians and I would love to see her win this Kamado Grill so she can continue to bring life to her already incredible southern soul food.

    Best,
    The Robinson Family

My son and I are grilling individual pizzas from scratch, and then later on in the day, we are going to slowly smoke ribs basted with our special sauce in honor of my son’s Dad (my husband) who passed away. It was a favorite of his, and we are keeping up the tradition.

WHY DON’T YOU ANSWER QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS GRILL GIVEAWAY SHAM. THE KAMADO GRILL WAS SUPPOSED TO BE AWARDED IN JUNE, BUT YOU NEVER PUBLISHED A WINNER’S NAME, AS ADVERTISED.
WE DO NOT KNOW IF OUR ENTRIES WERE EVER RECEIVED BY YOUR CONTEST JUDGES.
WHY IS THERE SO MUCH SECRECY, IT’S ALMOST LIKE THE U.S.GOVERNMENT!

Why won’t you publish the winner of the Kamado grill that was supposed to be awarded on June 23 at 12:00 PM CST? All inquiries so far have been ignored by you and Southern Living…what kind of a stunt are you pulling here?
I also entered this contest and have not found any evidence that my entry had been received by you nor was it published in this column.

I asked on Aug 30 and 31 about the Kamado Grill giveaway contest which had a deadline of 1200 CST 23 June 2014. I also called during July about the winner of the grill and was told the contest was still open…so what happened to the deadline of 23 June 2014? The young lady I spoke to then told me than that I would have that information shortly by email or by phone. THAT DID NOT HAPPEN.
I entered the contest during May or June, but I was not sure if my entry was ever received as I could not find any way to determine where it would wind up.
I thought you would be more forthcoming with an answer, but all I get is emails asking if I would like to enter a grill giveaway contest again. Perhaps this is just publicity or is it a scam?

This summer we have been grilling home-cured ham chops, served with homemade peach chutney; bulgogi-marinated skirt steak; and chicken, using my grandfather’s recipe for sauce (equal parts lemon juice, butter, and soy sauce, with a couple of minced garlic cloves mixed in before heating to melt the butter).

There is not much I do not grill year round. Pizza’s are the favorite both dessert fresh peach pizza with brown sugar and cinnamon sprinkle and drizzled with a buttery sugar glaze served with a dollop of vanilla ice cream and dusted with more ground cinnamon. The dinner pizzas are to die for using all grilled ingredients green peppers, onions, tomatoes, fresh basil, any grilled meats Italian sausage, crumbled hamburgers, BBQ chicken what ever you like use your imagination. Use different sauces or even salad dressings like blue cheese instead of tomato paste. I use frozen bread dough let it rise once and make the pizza crust grilling one side crispy and turning it over and add my ingredients. Our latest pizza was buffalo chicken pizza with blue cheese dressing for the sauce. If you would like to make individual pizzas get the frozen dinner roll dough. DELICIOUS! I love my grill/smoker! I would seriously love a KAMADO GRILL! #southernfoodnow #facebook
