In the early evening, I unwind by watering my flowers and puttering around my garden. After dinner, I slip into my pajamas and watch TV while snuggling my pup.

When the stars align and my three babies (2,1, and 2 months) are asleep at a decent hour, I love to have some wine and take a nice long shower with my husband. That’s our time to chat and just be with one another sans distractions. Usually though, I make just barely make it to my bed to pass out haha.

First I put together tea and finger foods in the kitchen. Then I light the candles in the bathroom and get a good cozy stink going while the tub fills with water. Lavender bath oils, bubbles, and scrubs get arranged by the tub then I kick all the animals and the husband out, turn down the lights and submerge myself into stillness. It’s my quiet time to enjoy a little snack, rejuvenate my skin with lotions and potions, and get my racing brain back to a pleasant idle.

I take time to meditate and to do a round of yoga asanas for relaxation which include sage, down dog and garland poses. If time allows, I will precede my yoga routine with my swim routine on my way home from school. Water refreshes the body and breathing refreshes the mind and soul.
