Years ago when my first carpet was installed the “carpet man” said to use table salt. Pour it on until no wet shows. After it has completely dried vacuum it up. I had used this on beet juice, red wine, coffee, and many more without ever having a stain.

I’m a big fan of blotting well before adding any cleaning products. Then I try just plain water and lightly rub with one of the countless unmatched cotton white socks that live here so I can see the substance transferred on the white sock. If that fails, I move on to a microfiber cloth and somw Mrs. Myers spray.

Dawn for grease based stains. Baking soda and vinegar for others. Just depends on the stain.

My secret is shifting a piece of furniture to cover it. Always works!
