my go to spring idea is to put cut flowers in vases. I also change up the pillows on my sofa or outdoor furniture with bright colors for spring!

I love decorating. A lot! I am a seasonally decorator of many years, being self taught and love Sping decorating the most.

My best tip is to pick a theme for your decor. Nothing cutesy. Stay focused on your theme as you move about your home. Keep it simple. Not too many ideas.

I have a big personality therefore I tend to decorate over the top but not cluttered. Big statements. Using 3 or 5 colors throughout. Tip odd numbers and not too many.

As an example my theme this spring is nature inspired or woodland.
My spring colors are pink, white, bark browns, shades of greens, and a touch of gold. I change out my decorator pillows, throws, rugs, dinner wear, linens and pictures. Adding fresh flowers.

I have been collecting for years now and have been given heirlooms from my family, purchased from dollar tree, upcycling etc. Therefore a new look can be accomplished economically.

This year I decorated my dining room chandelier with long sprays of pink dog wood and white cherry blossoms. It is grand and my statement piece. We dine/entertain under a large clusterof flowers. My table runner is real grass. Setting on te grass are wood baskets with moss balls, green hydrangea, and green tall grass. I have set about a few simple smaller whit porcelain bunnies.

On the sideboard I have a vase of the repeated theme pink dogwood and white cherry blossoms. Clusters of moss balls, birds nests holding golden eggs. A small more colorful vintage bird print that ties my theme and colors together.
It was beautiful, festive, simple for my Easter gathering.

We each cut up some magazines with some creative but doable ideas. We put them in a hat…like 5 ideas each…and pick out a few (3-5). We see how we can budget for each idea and try to make at least 3 ideas be “put in motion” each year. It makes it like a game and everyone has a chance to see their idea realized!
